Wildalpen - Burgstallort

Hike along the Salza from Wildalpen via Burstallort to Fischerau, optionally the same way back or on the Hochschwab Landesstrasse B 24 back to the starting point in the centre of Wildalpen.

Starting at Cafe-Restaurant Grabner and Hotel Bergkristall in Wildalpen, an asphalt road leads in the direction of the Amtshaus der Stadt Wien. Afterwards, a gravel path follows above the Salza River and a field path appears, numerous benches invite you to take a rest. The path turns into a steep track and there is a good vantage point before it goes downhill again. Continue on an ÖBF forest road (Krimpenbach) and you will reach the Hochschwab Landesstrasse B 24 in Fischerau. Here you can either take the same path back or make a circular tour out of it by continuing to the right at the road junction in the direction of Wildalpen.

Tip: It is possible to continue the hike into the Lerchgraben and via the Jägertal and the Hopfgartenrunde back to the centre of Wildalpen.

Aus Wien: A1 Westautobahn Abfahrt Ybbs über Wieselburg, Scheibbs und Lunz/See nach Göstling an der Ybbs weiter in Richtung Palfau, an der Kreuzung Erzhalden abbiegen nach Wildalpen.

Aus Wien, Eisenstadt: A2 Südautobahn, Semmeringschnellstraße S6, Nähe Mürzzuschlag auf die B23 Mariazeller Bundesstrasse und Mürzsteg und Wegscheid nach Gusswerk und an der Hochschwab Landesstrasse B24 bis Wildalpen

Aus Linz: A1 Westautobahn bis Knoten Voralpenkreuz, A9 bis Windischgarsten, Unterlaussa, Altenmarkt, Grossreifling, Palfau und Wildalpen

Aus Salzburg: A1 Westautobahn auf A9 bis Ausfahrt Ardning/Admont, Gesäusebundesstrasse und B24 bis Wildalpen

Aus Graz: A9 Pyhrnautobahn, Abfahrt, Traboch (Nähe Leoben) über Präbichl/Eisenerz, Hieflau, Landl, Gams nach Palfau an der Kreuzung Erzhalden abbiegen nach Wildalpen.
