This hike leads from Peggau uphill through forests and meadows to Semriach. Along the way, enjoy views of Peggau Castle Ruins and the surrounding countryside.
Starting at Peggau railway station, the route passes through the village before following trail 756 onto a meadow path and into the forest. The trail climbs steadily past Peggau Castle Ruins and across open pasture to the high point at Taschen (812 m). From there, the route descends along an asphalt road to Semriach.
An alternative return route leads via Pöllau, Badlgraben or the Römerstraße.

Car:
From Graz, take the A9 towards Bruck to the Peggau exit, then continue via the B67 to Peggau-Deutschfeistritz railway station.
From Bruck, take the S35 towards Graz to the Peggau exit, then continue to Peggau-Deutschfeistritz railway station.

From Peggau-Deutschfeistritz railway station, the route initially leads through Peggau. At the signposted trail 756, turn left onto a meadow path and continue uphill through the forest. With views of Peggau Castle Ruins, the route continues across open pastures to the high point at Taschen (812 m above sea level). From there, follow the paved road downhill to Semriach.
Alternatively, the return route can lead via Pöllau, Badlgraben or the Römerstraße.

Train: Take the S-Bahn from Graz or Bruck an der Mur to Peggau-Deutschfeistritz and back.
Parking is available at Peggau-Deutschfeistritz railway station.
