General Information
Directly in Altaussee is the equipment house of the Volunteer Fire Brigade Altaussee. Between mid-July and mid-August, there is a special program for children aged three and older on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
In the equipment house, the firefighters explain the large fire truck to the children, who marvel at it with big eyes. Afterwards, the drive through the town center to the Altausseer See begins. Upon arriving at the Seeklause, the fire truck parks between the tennis court and the Hotel Seevilla right by the lake.
Each child gets to spray water into the lake with the fire hose. Meanwhile, the other children take turns in small groups on a ride with the rescue boat on the Altausseer See.
The children’s program ends at the Seeklause.
