Enjoyable and diverse: Styria is all about wine. Here you can expect almost 2,000 meters of altitude difference on about 160 kilometers. The route is divided into
two sections. For the most part, the route runs on asphalt or gravel side and bike paths as well as small roads.
The Gravelbike tour in the "thermal & volcanic country" leads on the thermal cycle track along the Burgenland-Styrian border through beautiful sections, which are particularly characterized by viticulture and offer stunning views to Slovenia and the Hungarian lowlands. The route continues on a wonderful, flat stretch to the southernmost point of Styria, Bad Radkersburg, where the historic old town, southern flair and the hot springs of the Parktherme Bad Radkersburg invite you to linger. From Bad Radkersburg, the route then continues to Mureck, the destination of this stage.

Directions
Beautiful stretches lead you first through the vineyards and along small Buschenschänken along the way. You can warm up briefly and conquer the only notable climb of the section right at the beginning. After the first breath, you can treat yourself to a
break at the Vinothek Steiermark in St. Anna, where you can taste the best "Tröpferln". You continue cycling in a multifaceted way. The landscape remains hilly along the Burgenland-Styrian border, with stunning views of Slovenia and the Hungarian lowlands. A short detour takes you into Slovenia and you roll comfortably along the border stream back into the wine region. On a wonderful, flat route you will reach the
southernmost point of Styria in Bad Radkersburg.
From Bad Radkersburg the tour leads along the "Murradweg R2" through the Natura 2000 protected area and the UNESCO biosphere park Murauen to Mureck, then you continue from Mureck along the Südsteirische Weinstraße (2nd section).Take your time, because the most beautiful sights are right on your way. Shortly before you reach your destination in Mureck, you can stretch your legs on the way up the
30-meter-high "Murturm".
