The ten kilometer long romantic Tauplitzalm Alpine Road takes you to the high plateau of the Tauplitzalm.

Experience the unique landscape of the largest lake plateau in Europe. Hike and walk where nature is still nature, in a pleasant, fog-free mountain air, surrounded by the mountains of the Tote Gebirge. Relax in a car-free alpine landscape. Many inns and rustic huts invite you to rest.

The starting point for numerous hikes and mountain tours is the Tauplitzalm with its six mountain lakes.
Surrounded by the Grimming (2,351 meters above sea level) in the south, the Tote Gebirge (largest Central European high karst) in the north, the Dachstein massif in the west and the mountains of the Gesäuse in the east.
