More information

Detailed information on how to get there can be found here.
The central entry point is the parking lot at the Kirchbacher Halle. Here is also an entry point to the Grabenland Trail. From the information board, the trail leads to the "Nahwärmeversorgung Kirchbach" and then on to the "Broat". The nature trail of the Kirchbach mountain rescue service, where you can marvel at various native trees and shrubs, is the next destination. After a gentle climb through the forest you reach the Joslweber chapel, the highest point of the circular trail with a magnificent view of the chapel of Glojach, the Pachern mountains and the Koralpe. At the family Meier vlg. The trail continues through the forest down into the Labill valley, past the Wuzl and Wuisl ponds to Kleinfrannach. Here it is possible to make a detour to the Vulkanland equestrian club. Past the riding arena, after crossing the Labillbach stream, you reach the Frannach municipal office with entry points to the Kapellenweg and Grabenlandtrail. The Frannacher Dorfstubn invites you to take a break and then head south to the Frannach village chapel. After crossing the main road and the Labillbach stream, the hike continues between fields and meadows to the Guttmann pond, to then reach the Birglerkapelle chapel via a wonderful forest trail with a gentle ascent, past the highland cattle pasture of the organic Karnbauerhof Niegelhell farm. In addition to the beautiful chapel, the camera sheep of the Maier family are also worth seeing here. Along the Eichbergweg is the Kegelheiner chapel. Via a meadow path you go up the Breinberg to the next viewpoint, the Bergsailer Kreuz, with a view of Glojach and northern Slovenia. Through forest and across meadows the trail leads down to Glatzau, the village with numerous photovoltaic and solar plants. At the end of the village, the route leads through the forest and uphill to the Zirkl junction, where a short detour to the 20 kWp photovoltaic plant - the largest in the municipality of Kirchbach - of the Weiss vlg. Schwarzbauer-Pierer is possible. The further path leads to the "Zenzhiasl viewing platform" with drinking fountain, from where a magnificent view of the center of Kirchbach and the surrounding area is offered. At the "Rast am Annaberg" hikers have the opportunity to observe pigs, sheep and goats from "free-range husbandry", as well as a meadow orchard and "electricity from the sun". Next destination is the St. Anna Church - a former important pilgrimage church - whose history goes back to the 17th century. Continue downhill to the main street of Kirchbach. Before heading for the destination, a visit to the "Nahwärmeversorgung Kirchbach Süd - Johann Veit" (local heating supply Kirchbach South - Johann Veit), which is equipped with remote monitoring of the consumer plants and solar system for the warning water supply in summer, is planned. Along the main street the hike leads past numerous stores, businesses and inns, back to the starting point, the Kirchbacher Hall. A visit to the parish church "Saint John the Baptist", which was first mentioned in a document in 1256, is the crowning conclusion of the energy trail. After completion of this sporty hike, numerous stores and inns invite you to visit.
