the Styria thermal spa bus
Together with the Österreichische Postbus AG, Thermenland Steiermark has created the fastest public connection from Vienna directly to the thermal spa region of Styria. The branded bus runs daily from Vienna's main train station via four thermal spas (H2O Kindertherme, Heiltherme Bad Waltersdorf, Rogner Bad Blumau and Therme Loipersdorf) to Fürstenfeld. An environmentally friendly alternative that benefits day visitors, long-term vacationers and commuters.
As an established year-round destination, the region southeast of Graz with its precious thermal waters attracts around 1.5 million day guests and 1.9 million overnight guests to the region every year - including numerous visitors from Vienna.
The bus connection also opens up new possibilities for long-term guests in Thermenland: Because a day trip to Vienna, for example, with a visit to the Albertina or a shopping day in the "Mariahilfer Straße" can be integrated into the spa vacation. But also the numerous sights of the Thermen- & Vulkanland can be approached so comfortably, enjoy a brunch in Fürstenfeld with subsequent stroll through the pedestrian zone? Then take a detour to Bad Waltersdorf to visit the museum of the Roman era? Walk through the spa gardens and the Kulturhaus café - quickly take a selfie on the "Herzbankerln" (heart-shaped benches) around the small pond and then head to Café Strudelhof to taste one of the delicious homemade strudels or one of the sweet pastries? That sounds like an eventful day, and that without even having sat at the wheel for a second.
The Thermenland bus is not only worthwhile for vacationers and day visitors. The local population and commuters also benefit from the daily connection, which brings their guests comfortably, quickly and safely to Vienna and back.
