Since 2010 we have a vegan organic snack and certified vegan organic wine and organic juices. In conversation with activists from animal welfare organizations, I decided to have our wines and juices certified as vegan. At the same time we worked on the development of a vegan Brettljause. This project was not so easy to implement. We did not want to create a copy of a traditional Brettljause here, it should be one that stands for itself and is also distinctive. In the first year we sold 1 vegan Brettljause to family Kirchmaier, meanwhile it is 50% of all Brettljausen we sell (as of 2020). We have also changed our traditional and vegetarian Brettljausen variants, so there are now only vegan spreads on all Jausen variants. The Knaus family wishes you bon appétit
