Freiländer-hütteFor inexperienced hikers, you can easily walk in the direction of the windmills and reach the hut after about 1km. The hut is open both summer and winter (limited). Countless hiking trails lead here in all directions for long and short distances. As of now, a curling rink, which can be used as a natural bowling alley in summer, is available to guests in winter, as well as a natural toboggan run.The highlight of the alpine summer is the traditional Windräderkichtag (windmill day) in mid-August.

Freiländeralmhütte The hiking trails for long-distance hiking and walking lead or cross each other in the immediate vicinity of our hut. Only a few minutes' walk away is the Freiländeralm wind park for some quiet and relaxing hours in the alpine region. In the winter months, winter hiking is a great option, as the paths are cleared in the immediate vicinity. Here you can then use short distances for a trip to the snow.
