An easy hike in ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee, which has a lot to offer, let yourself be surprised.
The starting point of the hiking tour is Lake Stubenberg. At the start, the route follows the R8 cycle path to the Stubenberg power station, where you can see the centuries-old tradition of mechanical and electrical engineering combined with state-of-the-art electronic computer control.After the power station (approx. 300 m), we cross the Feistritz (river) via a ford and then turn left and walk uphill to the Laibacher wine tavern. A delicious "Brettljausn" with homemade products awaits you.

By car

Coming from Vienna:

Via the Südautobahn (A2) to the Hartberg exit - via Bundesstraße (B54) in the direction of Graz - 2 km after Kaindorf in the direction of Graz turn off in the direction of ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee.

Coming from Salzburg/Germany:

Freeway via Salzburg - Pyhrnautobahn (A9) to Graz - continue via Südautobahn in the direction of Vienna (A2) to the Gleisdorf West exit - Bundesstraße (B54) to Kaibing - ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee.

Starting point of this circular trail is the Stubenbergsee (east beach), here you can park the car.

After crossing the Feistritz bridge, follow the signs Nr.15 and keep to the right, the first section of the trail is also the bike path R8 to the show power plant of the Feistritzwerk.

Approx. 300 m after the power plant we cross the Feistritz (river) over a ford and then turn left and walk uphill to the Buschenschank Laibacher.

After a hearty refreshment, the circular trail leads you back to the starting point with a moderate gradient.

Hartberg train station is close to ApfelLand-Stubenbergsee.

Take the train to Hartberg, from there buses run to Stubenberg.
