Open-air performances of "Der Steirische Jedermann" by Berta Liebmann, a play based on the original by Hugo von Hofmannsthal, in Styrian dialect
As the grand finale of the anniversary season of "Theater in Hatzendorf", the open-air performances will take place on Hatzendorf's church square from 7 to 16 June 2024. "Jedermann" is considered one of the most popular plays of the 20th century. The full title of the original is "Jedermann. Das Spiel vom Sterben des reichen Mannes" and is based on the late medieval mystery play. The play is about the rich gentleman Jedermann who, in the face of death, repents of his extravagant and godless life. He repents and realizes that all material goods are transient.
