We’re truly proud to be part of the cycling community in the anniversary year celebrating 75 years of the Tour of Austria.
The route winds its way through one of Austria’s most spectacular wine regions — along the Schilcher, Sausal, and South Styrian Wine Roads — connecting places like St. Stefan, Stainz, Deutschlandsberg, Bad Schwanberg, Eibiswald, Kitzeck, Leutschach, Ehrenhausen, and Gamlitz.
With its rolling hills, winding roads, and sweeping panoramic views, South Styria offers the perfect natural stage for cycling at its finest.

75 Jahre Tour of Austria – Auftakt in Graz
Zum 75-jährigen Jubiläum der Lidl Tour of Austria beginnt die Rundfahrt dort, wo bereits Geschichte geschrieben wurde: in Graz. Die steirische Landeshauptstadt war schon 1949 Teil der allerersten Austragung – und bildet nun erneut den feierlichen Startpunkt dieses besonderen Jubiläums.
Am 7. Juli eröffnet die Teampräsentation am Mariahilfer Platz die Tour, bevor am nächsten Tag die erste Etappe über 188 Kilometer nach Gamlitz führt. Die Strecke durch die südsteirische Weinstraße bietet alles andere als einen klassischen Auftakt: Hügelige Abschnitte und anspruchsvolle Anstiege machen das Rennen von Beginn an selektiv.
Die Entscheidung fällt voraussichtlich erst im Finale rund um Gamlitz, wo eine anspruchsvolle Schlussrunde und eine Bergwertung kurz vor dem Ziel für zusätzliche Spannung sorgen.
Ein traditionsreicher Start, eine fordernde erste Etappe – und der Auftakt zu einer Jubiläumstour, die Radsportgeschichte weiter schreibt.
