This path leads to one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Schilcherland region – the St Wolfgang branch church in Hollenegg/Bad Schwanberg. The St Wolfgang Church, as it is commonly known, is also very popular with pilgrims.

The Wolfgangiweg 8 leads to one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Schilcherland region – the Wolfgangi Church, where hikers can also collect the keys to the church after taking a break. The church was first mentioned in 1494 and has always been a popular and well-known destination for pilgrims and worshippers. The new meditation trail has become a popular vantage point for young and old alike. On the way to St Wolfgang’s Church, you will pass the Klement Chapel and the legendary ‘Kreuzwehstein’. Lovely paths and spots wind their way around Hollenegg Castle, inviting you to linger.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the A2 towards Klagenfurt at the Graz-West motorway junction. Take the Lieboch exit and follow the B76 towards Lannach-Deutschlandsberg-Hollenegg.

Dieser Nordic Walking-Rundweg "Wolfgangiweg 8" führt zu einem der schönsten Aussichtspunkte der Weststeiermark. Vom Info-Point beim Kulturzentrum Schloss Hollenegg ausgehend, führt der Weg vorbei am Fachwerkbau des alten Rüsthauses der FF Hollenegg und in Richtung Patrizi-Kirche. Nach dem Kindergarten rechts weiter über den Pfarrhof und danach wieder rechts Richtung Klement Kapelle. Von dort führt der Weg über den "Kreuzwehstein" zur Wolfgangikirche (Zugang Ost) und weiter zum "Alpengasthaus Gregorhansl".

Der Rundweg führt dann zurück, vorbei an der Wolfgangikirche, am Anwesen Kügerl. Nach dem Anwesen (Abgang West) Richtung Klement Kapelle und zurück zum Info-Point beim Kulturzentrum Schloss Hollenegg.

Patrizi Church in Hollenegg: first mentioned in records in 1735. It is dedicated to Saint Patrick or Patricius, after whom it is named. Kreuzwehstein on the Wolfgangiweg: from the Patrizi Church, the path leads on to the Kreuzwehstein – an absolute must for those suffering from back pain: “simply lie down on the stone – perhaps your back pain will ease, or you won’t get any at all.”
