Beautiful circular hiking trail with many vantage points in the South Styrian wine country.
The Untergreithweg trail in St. Johann im Saggautal starts at the picturesque Josefiplatz square. It takes us through the town centre, past the inviting Jauk-Hartner inn, towards Saggau. After crossing the babbling Saggaubach stream, we leave the busy country road and enjoy a leisurely walk through a wooded area. The path winds along the Habitschegg ridge until we finally reach Schimpeleck. Turning right, the path takes us along Schlammeggweg and Greithharingweg up to Klanghaus. From Klanghaus, we begin the slow descent back to the town centre. At the Kranner crossroads, we turn left and follow the forest towards Höfla. Finally, we return to the starting point on the municipal paths.
