A special circular hiking trail for all the senses. Here you can hear the silence, discover rare orchids that only grow on Kreuzberg (e.g. the hummingbird orchid), and enjoy the wonderful view from the Kreuzberg lookout tower.

Starting at the Kreuzbergwarte and the Philosophenweg section, you can enjoy a relaxed circular hike around the Kreuzberg. You can also explore the Großklein region in the Sulmtal Sausal valley. Magnificent viewpoints and several places to stop for refreshments invite you to linger. So, put on your hiking boots, recharge your batteries, do your soul some good, and enjoy the South Styria adventure region to the fullest.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the Vogau/Straß exit, follow the B69 towards Ehrenhausen until you reach Gamlitz. Continue through Gamlitz towards Leutschach and turn right at Karnerbergspitz, following the road to Kreuzbergwarte.

Der Weg führt über befestigte Straßen, Wald- und Wiesenwege und durch Weingärten.

At the Eichberg Kreuzbergwarte, you can enjoy a wonderful view towards Carinthia, the Koralpe and Speikkogel mountains, the Demmerkogel and the Sausal valley.

Many starting points for our hikes in southern Styria can also be reached by public transport.

For a relaxed and sustainable journey, we recommend travelling by bus and train wherever possible. Depending on the region, additional local transport options are available.

This allows you to start your tour stress-free while also contributing to climate and nature conservation.
