A walk through the vineyards, where you can stop for a break at lovingly designed rest areas and enjoy the stunning views.

Start at the sports ground in Gamlitz and follow Raiffeisenstraße towards the centre. At the junction, turn right and then shortly afterwards left, following the Steinbach stream. Follow the markings for route number 4 down to the valley floor. From Heinzenurbelweg, you will see the route marker 4 and the signs bearing the inscription ‘Sernauberg’. Cross the road – you’ll see the signposts on your right – and walk uphill to the Sattlerhof, continuing at a leisurely pace to the Jöbstl Winery. Through the rolling countryside, amidst the vineyards, you’ll reach the Dietrich Winery, before continuing a short distance along the road. Be sure to stop off at the Knappenhof-Alpaka farm shop or the Rosenhof. Hiking through unspoilt countryside with stunning views, you’ll reach a crossroads, from where you follow the road and trail marker 4b to the Adam Winery and the striking Schererkogl. From here, you’ll walk downhill to the valley floor, where the route follows the Steinbach stream or the road towards Gamlitz for part of the way. You’ll come to the path you’re already familiar with and walk back to Gamlitz.

Coming from Graz via the A9, then take the Vogau exit. Follow the B69 towards Ehrenhausen as far as Gamlitz.

Wir starten beim Sportplatz in Gamlitz und folgen der Raiffeisenstraße in Richtung Zentrum. Bei der Kreuzung geht es nach rechts und kurz drauf links, den Steinbach entlang. Wir folgen den Markierungen mit der Wegnummer 3 bis zum Talboden. Ab dem Heinzenurbelweg sehen wir die Wegmarkierung 4 und die Tafeln mit der Aufschrift „Sernauberg“. Wir überqueren die Straße - sehen rechterhand die Wegweiser – und wandern bergauf zum Weingut Sattlerhof und gemütlich weiter bis zum Weingut Jöbstl. Über die hügelige Landschaft, inmitten der Weingärten, erreichen wir das Weingut Dietrich, um wenig später ein Stück entlang der Straße weiterzugehen. Naturnah und aussichtsreich wandern wir bis zu einer Straßenkreuzung, ab der wir der Straße und der Wegmarkierung 4b zum Weingut Adam und dem markanten Schererkogl folgen. Ab nun wandern wir bergab zum Talboden, wo es teilweise entlang des Steinbaches bzw. der Straße in Richtung Gamlitz geht. Wir kommen zu dem uns bereits bekannten Weg und wandern zurück nach Gamlitz.
