The tour takes in several museums and wineries in the region, highlighting the history, culture and production of Schilcher as well as other regional products and traditions.

From the church square, walk behind the church, past the primary school, turn right over the Roman Bridge, past the care home, then turn right uphill and follow the “Yellow Schilcher Glass” sign along a path through meadows and woods all the way to Feisternitz. Once you have walked through the village, take the pleasant forest and meadow paths to the right up to the Feisternitzberg and continue uphill to the St. Pongratzen viewing tower. After visiting the tower, walk back a short distance, then follow the mountain road with its sweeping views of Western Styria to the Pratter Herb Garden. Continue to the right, following the road through the cool forest, to the Glirsch wine tavern with its “Winegrowers’ Museum”. From the Glirsch farmyard, follow the meadow and woodland paths downwards until you reach the road. Then turn left at the “Yellow Glass” sign, past the Kohlweiß Chapel, continue past a cross to the left to the Bartlschneider Inn, then steeply across the meadow, past the fish pond, keeping to the right along the road between the Kloepferkeller Inn and the wine press back to the church square.

During the tour, visitors have the opportunity to discover the unique characteristics of Schilcher wine, learn more about the cultivation of the Blaue Wildbacher grape, and enjoy the wine’s diverse flavour profile. This includes tastings of various Schilcher wines, allowing visitors to explore the different nuances of flavour.
In addition to the wine-tasting experiences, the museums also offer insights into local culture, history and craftsmanship. This tour is a great way to discover the region’s culinary and cultural treasures.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the A2 towards Klagenfurt at the Graz-West motorway junction. Take the Lieboch exit and follow the B76 towards Lannach-Deutschlandsberg-Bad Schwanberg-Wies/Eibiswald.

Ab dem Kirchplatz gehen Sie hinter der Kirche, vorbei an der Volksschule, rechts über die Römerbrücke, vorbei am Altenheim, dann rechts ansteigend folgen Sie auf einem Wiesen- und Waldweg immer der Markierung "Gelbes Schilcherglas" bis nach Feisternitz. Nachdem Sie das Dorf durchwandert haben, gelangen Sie rechts über angenehme Wald- und Wiesenwege auf den Feisternitzberg und weiter ansteigend zum "Bauernmuseum Lateinberg" (120 Minuten Gehzeit).

Nach Besichtigung gehen Sie ein Stück zurück, dann die Höhenstraße mit weitem Ausblick in die Weststeiermark entlang zum Gasthof Hofjäger. Weiter zum Kräutergarten Pratter, der Markierung folgend bis zum Weinbauern Woch, wo Sie den Schlüssel für sein Museum "Bauernschmiede" holen können (90 Minuten Gehzeit).

Rechts weiter, der Straße im kühlen Wald folgend, bis zur Buschenschenke Glirsch mit dem "Weinbauernmuseum" (60 Minuten Gehzeit).

Im Hof Glirsch geht es rechts über einen Wiesen- und Waldweg hinunter, bis man zur Straße gelangt. Links nach der Markierung "Gelbes Glas" an der Kohlweißkapelle vorbei zum Gasthaus Weiß, weiter nach einem Kreuz links zum Gasthaus Bartlschneider, dann steil über die Wiese, vorbei am Fischteich, rechts haltend die Straße entlang zwischen Gasthof Kloepferkeller und Weinpresse zurück zum Kirchplatz (90 Minuten Gehzeit). 6 Stunden insgesamt

Don’t forget to stop off at the Glirsch Wine Museum, the Glirsch wine tavern and the Long-Distance Hiking Museum at the Lerchhaus.
