This hike offers a perfect blend of nature, culture and history in southern Styria, with the Silberberg wine trail, the Roman stone collection at Seggau Castle and the temple museum on Frauenberg.
The tour begins at the Heimschuh municipal office. Follow the municipal road and cross the picturesque Pernitschkogel. Discover the secrets of winegrowing at the renowned Silberberg winegrowing school and follow the informative wine trail. The tour continues uphill to Seggau Castle, where you can marvel at the breathtaking views. The tour then continues to Frauenberg. In the temple museum, you can immerse yourself in the fascinating stories of the past.
The route then follows the Sulm river along the R1 back to the starting point.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the Leibnitz exit. Follow the B74 to Heimschuh.
The route takes us over the Pernitschkogel, past the Silberberg viticulture school up to Seggau Castle and onto the Frauenberg. From here we return along the Sulm river to Heimschuh.
Take advantage of this opportunity and reserve a wine tasting in the Episcopal Wine Cellar at Seggau Castle.
Many starting points for our hikes in southern Styria can also be reached by public transport.
For a relaxed and sustainable journey, we recommend travelling by bus and train wherever possible.
