Hiking in the South Styria Nature Park – experience nature at its best, combined with stunning views and plenty of great places to stop for a bite to eat.

You start at the Tinnauer wine tavern and continue towards the Steiner wine tavern. Follow the orange signs and markings. As you walk past vineyards, orchards and woods, you’ll discover a variety of habitats and learn all sorts of interesting facts about wine, the region and its people, as well as the local flora and fauna. The family-run farms along the trail have chosen various symbols from nature with which they have a special connection. You’ll find the stories behind them on the farm signs along the route. Magnificent views, lovely spots to linger and recharge your batteries! The nature park trail can be started at any of the 13 farms.

Coming from Graz via the A9, then take the Vogau/Straß exit. Keep right and follow the B69 to Gamlitz.

The nature park hiking trail can be started at any of the 13 farms. Orientate yourself by the organic boards and the markings.

Along vineyards, orchards and forests you will get to know different habitats and learn all kinds of interesting facts about wine, the region and people, as well as flora and fauna. The family farms along the way have thought of various symbols from nature, to which they have a special relationship. You can find the stories about them on the farm signs along the way.

Enjoy the magnificent views and the delightful places to stop for a bite to eat.

Many starting points for our hikes in southern Styria can also be reached by public transport.

For a relaxed and sustainable journey, we recommend travelling by bus and train wherever possible. Depending on the region, additional local transport options are available.

This allows you to start your tour stress-free while also contributing to climate and nature conservation.
