A truly scenic route that showcases the beauty of the Styrian countryside.
The Neudorf-Demmerkogel circuit is a scenic hike that starts in Neudorf im Sausal. It takes us along a meadow path to the lakeside road of Lake Waldschacher and on past the Stelzer wine tavern. On municipal paths up to Alt- and Neukerschegg, past the Schmölzer wine tavern, we walk along the orchards and continue on the country road to the so-called Kreuzfreitag. Across a forest clearing, past the Steirerland restaurant, where we continue on municipal paths to the world's largest klapotetz on the Demmerkogel. There, a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape opens up. The trail continues to the Demmerkogelwarte, across the butterfly meadow and on towards Schmalegg. Passing Krahriegl and the Temmel wine tavern, we finally return to our starting point in Neudorf im Sausal.
The trail can also be shortened via variants 22a or 22b.
