This hike leads up to Flamberg, along the ridge with fantastic views over the countryside.

The Greibrunnweg trail begins in the heart of the village of St. Nikolai i. S. It first leads along municipal paths towards Waldschach and then turns right through a wooded area to the main road. The trail continues along municipal paths that lead to the Weingartenhotel Harkamp. From there, the route winds along the Flamberg ridge, a path that offers breathtaking views. Forest and municipal paths lead past Flamhof Castle and via Forst back to the starting point.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the Leibnitz exit. Follow the B74 to Kaindorf a. d. Sulm – Muggenau junction – St. Nikolai i. S.

The Greibrunn Trail starts in the centre of St. Nikolai im Sausal at the municipal office. It first leads along municipal paths in the direction of Waldschach, then through a section of forest to the main road and then along municipal paths to the Harkamp winery and vineyard hotel. From there, the route leads on municipal paths along the Flamberger Höhenrücken ridge and along forest paths and municipal paths past Flamhof Castle back to the starting point.

Flamberger beer has been brewed in St. Nikolai im Sausal for years – find your favourite variety.

Many starting points for our hikes in southern Styria can also be reached by public transport.

For a relaxed and sustainable journey, we recommend travelling by bus and train wherever possible.

Depending on the region, additional local transport options are available.
