The Gleinstättner Runde Variant 18a is a leisurely hike that starts at Gleinstätten Castle and leads through picturesque landscapes.
The Gleinstättner Runde Variant 18a starts at Gleinstätten Castle. From there, the trail leads you to Gasthof Brand, which is on your left. You cross the Sulm and follow the river before turning towards the forest. The trail takes you to Gasthof Literwirt and on to Buschenschank Bernhardkeller. Via Georgenberg, the trail finally takes you back to your starting point, Gleinstätten Castle, via Praratheregg and Haslach.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the Leibnitz exit. Follow the B74 to Heimschuh - Fresing - Gleinstätten.
Variant 18a: The Gleinstättner Runde starts at Gleinstätten Castle and leads us to Gasthof Brand on our left - we walk straight across the road and along the cycle path to Affartmühle, continue to Kernölmühle Kremsner, to the romantic Ottersbach Castle - after Ottersbach Castle we turn left uphill towards Burgstallkogel, Grillkogel to the Hallstatt period farmstead and continue towards Tschonegger to Gasthof Literwirt. From there we walk to the Buschenschank Bernhardkeller via Georgenberg to the Georgiwirt of the Pölzl family, then via Praratheregg, Haslach back to the starting point - Gleinstätten Castle.
