This trail is for more experienced hikers!

The loop trail starts at the Klause entrance and, after 50 meters, branches off to the left at the crossroads onto the Ruhri Panorama Trail No. 13, which runs partly through the Natura 2000 protected area. Then follow a steep, long path through the forest to a paved farm driveway. Hike uphill along this driveway, pass the Fuchsamtmann farmstead, and continue to the Ruhri farmstead. A magnificent view along the paved road is the reward for the steep climb. From the Ruhri farmstead (rest area with drinking water), walk uphill along a longer stretch through the forest to the next farmstead, Kainz, located on Spengerweg. Follow this path uphill to Weinebenstraße and continue along it for about 300 m through the so-called “Modyebene” (stunning panoramic view). Then turn left at the Sonnleitnerweg and, after 50 m, turn right at the Weidetor and head uphill to a large meadow with a magnificent view. Follow the tree-lined path through the Theissl farmstead to the Weberthomaweg, which leads to the former community center in Trahütten. Here, cross the Weinebene state road, and the descent follows Alpine Club Trail No. 14, the so-called Jägersteigweg. We then continue downstream through the romantic Klause, arriving back at the starting point at the end of this charming natural gem.

Coming from Graz via the A9, take the A2 toward Klagenfurt at the Graz-West interchange. Take the Lieboch exit and follow the B76 toward Lannach-Stainz-Deutschlandsberg-Trahütten.

Beim Klausen Eingang starten wir und zweigen nach 50 m links beim Kreuz zum Ruhri-Panoramweg ab, der uns steil hinauf durch den Wald (geringes Gefälle vor einem Gerinne - die Überquerung des Gerinnes erfordert Geschick) führt. Danach folgen wir einem steilen, langen Fußweg durch den Wald bis zur asphaltierten Hofzufahrt der Liegenschaft Fuchsamtmann und Ruhri. Diesen Hofzufahrtsweg wandern wir bergauf und gehen am Gehöft vlg. Fuchsamtmann vorbei und weiter bis zum Gehöft vlg. Ruhri. Eine herrliche Fernsicht entlang der Asphaltstraße ist der Lohn für unseren steilen Anstieg. Vom Gehöft Ruhri gehen wir vorerst an der Grenze zwischen Wiese und Wald weiter (Waldstrecke bis zum Hof vlg. Kainz). Der Weg führt uns nun über den Spengerweg zur Weinebene-Landesstraße, auf dieser wir nun ca. 600 m bergauf gehen - dort genießen wir die herrliche Fernsicht und das Rotwildgehege auf der so genannten Mody-Ebene. Dann gehen wir nach links und zweigen vorerst in einen Waldweg ab und gehen weiter in der Obstallee (mit herrlicher Sicht auf den Großen Speik). Am Gehöft vlg. Theißl vorbei. An dessen Zufahrtsstraße gehen wir leicht bergauf am Weberthoma-Weg weiter und nach ca. 750m ist unser Ziel, Trahütten, erreicht. Beim Gemeindeamt überqueren wir die Weinebene-Landesstraße und der Abstieg erfolgt über den Alpenvereinsweg Nr. 14, dem so genannten Jägersteig und die Pfarrkirche liegt linker Hand etwas abseits des Weges. Der asphaltierte Weg (Alexander Kortschak Weg) führt uns zum Gehöft vlg. Schirrmeister und von dort zweigen wir knapp vorher zum Jägersteig ab. Dieser schlängelt sich überwiegend durch den Wald über das Forsthaus Stöckl bis zur Breinmühle an der Laßnitz hinab. Flussabwärts wandern wir dann weiter durch die romantische Klause (Natura-2000-Gebiet), um am Ende dieses reizvollen Naturjuwels wieder beim Ausgangspunkt anzukommen.

Anmerkung: Von der Breinmühle bis zum Klausen Eingang nimmt der Weg den gleichen Verlauf wie der Alpenvereinsweg Nr. 578 und ab der Einsiedelei in der Klause bis zum Klausen Eingang ist er identisch mit dem F1 (Kleiner Oberlaufenegger Rundweg) Weg.
