Mystical Rauhnacht Hike
Approximately 12 nights around the turn of the year are known as the Rauhnächte. According to popular belief, the stormy forces of midwinter withdrew on the night of January 6, "the Wild Hunt" (settled down at the end of the Rauhnächte: The Rauhnächte were determinative as a farmer's rule for the weather of the twelve months of the new year.
A guided mystical Rauhnacht hike around Stainz awaits you. Solar or wax torches, "incense burning" with incense expert Alexandra Koch, 2 drinks and a snack, music, and a torch dance contribute to a beautiful hike. The route is approximately 5 km long and takes you from the Hofer-Mühle over the Rauch-Hof and the Bründlwald back to Stainz Castle, returning to the starting point of the hike. Here at the Hofer-Mühle, you will enjoy a finale with a snack and a glass of Schilcherfrizzante. Good shoes and walking stability are prerequisites for the hike.
The tickets are fixedly reserved for you upon ordering and payment, and you will receive them along with the rental solar torch or wax torch starting at 4:10 PM at the Hofer-Mühle Stainz before the hike. The distribution of the torches is the responsibility of the organizer.
