Weingartenrundgang #4 - Finale: von der Rebe ins Glas

In August at 3:00 p.m., on the holiday of the Assumption of Mary, the fourth and final vineyard tour of the year takes place at the Jöbstl winery.

The vines are now in a noticeable transitional phase: The grapes have nearly reached their ripeness, and the harvest shows the first clear signs of the upcoming vintage. Everything in the vineyard converges on the decisive moment of the year – the balance between patience, weather, and the right timing.

Cellar master Hannes Jöbstl guides through this late summer landscape and provides an accurate outlook on the upcoming steps: the harvest, the selection of grapes, and the transition to the cellar, where the new vintage is created from the ripe harvest. The focus is on both the practical work and the sensitive decisions that determine the quality and character of the wine.

Wine tasting along the way – a commented tasting of selected, award-winning wines that impressively showcase the variety and quality of the Schilcherei.
The conclusion is – as with all tours – a guided cellar tour.
