In July at 8:30 p.m. the courtyard of the Jöbstl winery will once again transform into an atmospheric open-air cinema:

The summer cinema is one of the special highlights of the event year and combines wine, summer evenings, and film culture into a shared experience under the open sky.

The French comedy “Oh la la – who would have thought?” will be shown, a humorous exploration of origins, identity, and cultural self-understanding. With a fine wink, the film tells the story of two families whose worldviews collide – marked by pride, tradition, and the question of what "belonging" actually means. At the center are not only familial entanglements but also loving caricatures of national peculiarities, especially the French way of life.

The story unfolds, among other settings, on a French vineyard – a backdrop that reveals surprising parallels to the western Styrian wine landscape. There, tradition and modernity, pride in origin and questions of future viability also clash.

Thus, a summer evening is created where cinema and wine culture intertwine: French humor meets Styrian serenity, big emotions clash with light summer air – and the glass of wine finds its place exactly where stories have the greatest impact.
