Werner Anzenberger (* September 8, 1962 in Leoben) is an Austrian lawyer, historian, writer, and politician (SPÖ). He currently serves as the head of the Social Affairs and Social Policy Department as well as the head of staff for the branches of the Styrian Chamber for Workers and Employees and the state and deputy federal chairman of the SPÖ's front organization Bund Sozialistischer Freiheitskämpfer. For his writing work, Anzenberger uses the pseudonym Peter Veran.
