Theater Center Deutschlandsberg presents the biting cult comedy "Nobody Pays!"
At the center are two working-class families struggling to make ends meet in the face of skyrocketing living costs. When the prices of basic food items soar beyond measure, the situation escalates: In a spontaneous act of “self-service,” the women of the neighborhood raid the supermarkets – and must hide their loot from both the police and their husbands. How do they do it? Well, let's just say, as if by magic, they all suddenly seem to be pregnant.
What follows is a fast-paced comedy full of confusion, wit, and surprising twists. An absurdly funny theater evening that nonetheless does not lack sharp social critique.
