Jöbstl - Kellerführung Spezial mit Licht und Klang
As part of the Schilcher Spring, the Jöbstl winery opens its "Wine Workshop"
The place, otherwise characterized by tranquility and maturation, becomes an instrument itself during these days.
Between steel tanks and barrique barrels, a staging of light, sound, and wine unfolds: fine projections lay like fleeting tannin traces on the metallic surfaces, transforming the cool cylinders into breathing image carriers.
Light refracts, gathers, dissolves again – as if the cellar were making its own maturation process visible.
The tour is accompanied by sound collages that do not overlay the space but instead grow into it. Deep, resonating frequencies encounter quiet, almost fermenting sound particles – an acoustic correspondence to those invisible processes that take place in the wine itself: time, pressure, tranquility, transformation.
The winemaker family guides through this condensed space of experience and memory, where wine becomes not just a product but a narrative. The combination of cellar work, sensory installation, and artistic intervention opens the view to what otherwise remains hidden: the moment between becoming and maturation, between silence and expression.
