The percussionist Ismael Barrios from Venezuela grew up with the music of his homeland. His first instrument was the Cuatro, a four-string Venezuelan guitar. However, after studying classical guitar in Austria, his passion for percussion prevailed. Barrios, who is also a passionate cook, cyclist, and family man, added the percussive spice to performances with Martin Grubinger, Papermoon, OPUS, S.T.S., Markus Schirmer's SCURDIA, Alegre Corrêa, Ripoff Raskolnikov, and others.
