Gamlitzer Weinlesefest
The large autumn festival in Gamlitz will take place for the 58th time.
The 58th Gamlitz Wine Harvest Festival invites you to four atmospheric days from Thursday to Sunday, all in the spirit of wine, music, and Styrian tradition. The festival kicks off on Thursday, the Day of Brass Music, with the ceremonial opening of the wine stands at 5:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m., the traditional Sturmfassanstich takes place, musically accompanied by Die Fegerländer, who ensure a lively start to the festival.
On Friday, the wine stands open as early as 2:00 p.m. In the afternoon, there is musical entertainment from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., before Markus Krois performs at 8:00 p.m. Following that, Die Südsteirer will create a joyful festival atmosphere.
Saturday starts at 1:00 p.m. with the opening of the wine stands. Afternoon music from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. invites you to linger comfortably. At 6:30 p.m., the Dämmerschoppen follows with the Musikverein Christkindl. From 8:00 p.m., Markus Krois will again take the stage, followed by Die Lauser who will musically conclude the evening.
Sunday is entirely dedicated to tradition and customs. A Holy Mass is celebrated at 9:00 a.m., followed by the Frühschoppen with the MMK Gamlitz from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. The highlight of the day is the great traditional parade at 2:00 p.m. At 4:00 p.m., the Award Ceremony takes place on the main stage, before the wine harvest festival finds a cozy and atmospheric conclusion with DaLuis starting from 4:30 p.m.
