Alois Waclik – Ausstellung „Mit der Zeit“
The Eibiswald event initiative invites you to the exhibition “With Time” by Alois Waclik on September 25 at 7.30 p.m. in the parish hall of Eibiswald. The focus is on extraordinary works of his bromine oil painting, musically framed by the group Westwind.
As an enthusiastic supporter of black-and-white photography, Alois Waclik began many years ago to engage with traditional bromoil printing. In this process, the blackened bromide silver is chemically removed from a black-and-white photo and replaced with oil paint. From his work as a teacher of visual education, Waclik further developed the technique: Alongside black oil paint, increasingly other colors were added – from the classic bromoil print emerged his own form of bromoil painting. For some time now, he has also been using acrylic paints to give his works a special expression.
Waclik's world of images moves between historical, figurative, and abstract representations and invites viewers to view the familiar from a new perspective.
Alois Waclik, born in 1952 in Tauplitz and raised in Soboth, worked as a teacher and school principal in Eibiswald until 2017.
The exhibition is accessible by telephone appointment.
