We know Vincent Peirani as a jazz musician, for sure. But world music, classical, chansons, or rock also come easily to the Frenchman. With his quintet Living Being - led by star saxophonist Émile Parisien - he turns the accordion into a rock’n’roll instrument and combines melancholy, ecstatic improvisation, and robust rock electronics into an exhilarating synthesis. “Chamber Rock Music," someone once said about it. Who knows, maybe it was even Vincent himself.
