Schilcher is at home at “Jaga”, as the Vulgoname of the Schilcher wine company KLUG-KRAINER is. Not only because an excellent Schilcher is pressed here, but also because the Schilcher comes from the immediately neighboring torrent. Schilcher has been cultivated on our farm for over 50 years. The Pirkleiten vineyard is an ideal location for this and, according to the wine register, is the oldest vineyard in the Bad Gams area. For about 15 years I, Christine Krainer, a trained wine and cellar master, have managed a vineyard area of around 4 hectares together with my husband Robert. First and foremost it is the Schilcher that we develop in all its variations. White wines such as Pinot Blanc and Muscat also complement our range. Our wines are vinified with the greatest care according to old tradition, modern cellar technology and high respect for nature. Precise manual work, gentle pruning, intensive selection, a lot of patience and a corresponding degree of straightforwardness result in independent wines.
