For “30 people, 7 pieces of cattle, or a loaded agricultural cart,” the Mur ferry in Weitersfeld was once intended.
Nowadays, the last intact cable ferry on the Mur, which conveniently lies directly on the Mur cycling path, is mainly used by cyclists. Hanging on a steel cable, pedestrians are safely transported across the Mur to the other shore. The ride is free for pedestrians and cyclists!
In exceptional situations like high and low water, the ferry does not operate!
The ferry runs every day of the week!
