Four becomes one: Today's market community of Wies has grown together from the communities of Limberg bei Wies, Wernersdorf, Wielfresen and Wies to form the large community of Wies, covering 76.55 km² and with a population of 4,634. The politically initiated merging of the municipalities to form the municipality of Wies has resulted in a large number of synergies. With united forces it is possible to rise effectively.
