CERAMICS & PORCELAIN
The place where an oddly shaped lump of clay is brought to life is the workshop of Elisabeth Brodatsch Häusler. Whether it is stoneware functional ceramics made on the potter's wheel and fired in a high-temperature range, individually crafted pieces for outdoor use, or objects made from the finest porcelain, each piece passes through the hands of the artist and is therefore unique.
The graduate of the master classes in ceramic shaping and sculpture at the Department of Art & Design at the Ortweinschule in Graz uses clays from various countries of origin, each adapted to the requirements of the piece to be created.
The thrown, modeled, or cast objects receive individual coatings of engobes or glazes after the bisque firing, which the artist produces from a variety of raw materials based on her own calculations.
The finished ceramic and porcelain objects can be viewed and purchased in a small gallery as well as in the beautiful garden of the artist.
