For the south of the Schilcherland you need time. And leisure. After all, it is much nicer to explore the area in a slow way. For example, hiking, for which you will find ample opportunity everywhere here. Wine hiking, alpine pasture hiking and literature hiking are just as much a possibility here as the "Boundless Hiking" along the Kirchen-Linden Trail in St. Lorenzen. The south of the Schilcherland is also the ideal starting point for more demanding tours, such as the Koralm-Kristall-Trail, the Grenzpanoramaweg or the Mariazellerweg. Move, enjoy, relax - in every season. Under this motto, 20 unique theme trails present themselves, which make the "hiker's heart" beat faster and bring the visitor closer to the diversity of the region. Vineyards merge seamlessly into forests, lush green meadows and fruit crops line the path. Narrow farm crossings bring you closer to the way of life of the locals - on clear days views as far as the Demmerkogel are possible. An absolute highlight of our region is the "Limitless Mountain Biking" around Eibiswald and Radlje. What our wonderful region offers are no difficult trails. But there are 18 panoramic tours of the finest with starting point in Eibiswald and 20 other tours with starting point in Radlje-Podvelka. It is on all routes a mix of magnificent scenery, culture and cuisine, which opens all the senses to the biker in addition to the physical challenge. For those who prefer a more comfortable ride, there is the option of exploring the area on an e-bike or choosing one of the attractive "Genussradel" tours, which lead right across Schilcherland and perfectly combine a wide variety of excursion destinations with enjoyable places to stop for refreshments. Come in spring, when forest, meadows and wine blossom. Taste the young wines. The traditional festivals, Easter and Corpus Christi await you to join in the celebrations. Roam shady forests and lush green vineyards in summer. Enjoy a cool summer wine and a "Sulzerl" with Schilcher vinegar and core oil. When the pumpkin ripens, there are the pumpkin festivals. Hike in autumn, when vineyards and forests turn colorful, and look forward to Schilchersturm and roasted chestnuts. In October, numerous festivals take place around the grape harvest. In winter, when the south of the Schilcherland is covered in glittering white, guests can look forward to cross-country skiing, winter hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, ice skating and curling. Afterwards, you can indulge yourself to your heart's content in one of the cozy inns. An art, by the way, which the establishments of the region master perfectly all year round!
