Grünangerhütte
Bad Schwanberg
The Grünangerhütte is a popular hiking destination - in summer as well as in winter!
The Grünanger Hut is located in the "Hinterland" of the recreation area Weinebene, known as a family ski and snowboard paradise. Both the hut and its surroundings are exceptionally child- and family-friendly. Paths and access routes can be walked with a stroller. Mountain bikers are also out and about in the area, particularly riding up the Großer Speikkogel. Flower enthusiasts will encounter the Gießbach-Gemswurz in the nature reserve around the hut, a plant that occurs exclusively on the Koralpe.
The hut is situated in a hollow and is largely wind-protected, even when it storms properly higher up on the Hochalm, around the Loskogel and the Steinmandl. And children can also run around the hut protected from the wind.
In the midst of the idyllic alpine region, you can enjoy down-to-earth cuisine that perfectly matches the special flair of the hut. Whether hearty snacks or warm delicacies – regionality is the focus here, making every visit a delightful experience.
Electricity is available thanks to a solar system, but it is "rationed." Charging mobile phones is only permitted in exceptional cases. Mobile reception is good.
Cash payment only.
Popular starting points for hikes to the Grünanger Hut are the mountain village of Glashütten (Path 579), parking areas on Weinebene Road km 19.8 or 20.6.
