Our establishment is located in the heart of the Schilcherland with its own game preserve. We are a member of the Ölspurwirte and a Slow Food establishment. Furthermore, since 2014 we have been tested by "Gault Millau" and awarded a toque.
In order to offer our guests fresh and healthy dishes, we strive to use primarily regional products in our kitchen. Thus, the menu of our restaurant is embedded in the cycle of the seasons. With all the prime raw ingredients, which naturally include local beef and poultry, our focus is on venison specialties.
From May to December, we offer our guests game dishes in all possible variations. We place the highest value on gentle preparation to ensure that the flavor and nutrients of this valuable food are preserved. We remain true to our philosophy of respecting the animal in its entirety by carefully processing all the meat. A stress-free hunt for the animals is the fundamental requirement for top-quality meat.
Directly surrounding our guesthouse are the meadows of Sommereben. The aroma of the lush, unfertilized herb meadows permeates every pore of these wonderful, shy animals. The natural seasoning is the secret behind a delicious game dish, as flavorful and authentic as it could be.
