Just switch off at the fishing paradise in Eibiswald and enjoy the quiet day at the pond.
The pond of the fishing club "Kleiner Hecht" is located between Eibiswald and Arnfels. Approx. 5 km after Eibiswald, in the small village Bischofsegg turn north and immediately after the Saggau bridge again right through the village, where the road ends at the pond. Quiet and scenic location, the pond runs funnel-shaped and is largely surrounded by forest. Meadow strip on one side of the bank, the opposite side is densely overgrown. A large parking lot is available, the club members are offered an optimal infrastructure. The comfortably furnished fishing hut with a roofed porch offers shelter in case of bad weather and provides a convivial end to a day of fishing. A barbecue area is available, rental fishing rods can be borrowed for a fee. The popular fishing pond is also a member of the "Borderless Fishing" project. This initiative was launched by the St. Oswald Tourist Board, fishing opportunities are offered in Styria, Carinthia and Slovenia.
The fish stock is good, the average weight of the carps is about 3 kg, piece weights up to 15 kg are possible. Several sturgeons have also been stocked. The predatory fisherman can count on pike, pikeperch and catfish. Night fishing is held every 1st Saturday of the month. If desired, the fish can be purchased
