55 kilometers from Graz, near the South Styrian Wine Route in Leutschach is the largest hop-growing area in Austria. Despite the lack of beer culture in the country and because of the insufficient supply of beer, Wolfgang Dietrich decided to brew his own beer in 2008, primarily for his own restaurant in the Erlebnis Brauerei Leutschach.
