Bogensport "Zur Kästenburg"

In the middle of the picturesque South Styrian Wine Road, not far from the cultural winery and the historic Kästenburg, lies the 3D archery course of the Heeressportverein Strass Archery. On 29 variably placed 3D targets, animals such as fox, hare, wild boar, wolf, and bear await – as well as a flying owl, two grinning monsters, and the vine louse, which makes the course exciting for children as well. A clout shot of around 140 meters rounds off the experience for ambitious archers.

The approximately 1.8 km long course leads over two wooden bridges across the stream in the valley and offers a lot of variety with gentle ascents and different terrain structures. For the complete round, one should plan about two hours. Those who wish can rent bows on-site and receive an introduction from an experienced instructor – ideal for beginners as well as advanced archers.
