THE VINERY
"Kaarriegel" is the name of our small, fine winery in St. Andrä im Sausal, southwest of Graz. We try to shape the wines according to the specifications of the vineyard and the soil. Since the 2015 vintage, the final conversion to organic farming has been completed.
THE PHILOSOPHY
At Kaarriegel, wines are created full of passion, feeling, tradition, weather and soil. Innovation and development do not always have to do with technology or the use of modern tools. In our case, the wines of Kaarriegel are created in an innovatively simple process. No pure yeast, no filtration, little use of sulphur. Organic cultivation of the vineyard.
The tradition to wine lies in nature.
