Since 1865, when a certain Bartlmä Maritschnegg, opened an inn, this exists until today without interruption! In earlier times, as well as today, Wirtbartl is an important resting place for cattle drovers, mountain hikers and mushroom hunters, since last year also for cyclists.

The hut offers inside place for approx. 50 persons. Beside the Stub`m with the set stove, the Rauchkuchl with the baking-oven, the small Enzian hall is the heart of the hut. The name comes from the gentian meadow above the hut, which is usually in full bloom from mid-May.
