The Restaurant and hotel is guided from the family Maitz in third generation in Ratsch.
The beautiful view from the terrace of the restaurant, the balcony of the suite or the view across the south Styrian from Slovenia to the Vulkanland and from Graz to the Koralm, is still amazing.
Winery -the pride of the south
Wolfgang Maitz is connected with the area his vines and grapes. You can feel that connection in his wines made from Sauvignon Blanc, Morillon and other grapes. Everything is done by hand from cutting the vines to picking the grapes. The most important thing for Wolfgang Maitz is that you can feel the area of the south Styria in his wines. Since 2013 he is a member of the STK (Steirische Terroir und Klassik Weingüter).
The Restaurant
Relaxing - Austrian cuisine and great wines. The wirtshaus maitz is famous for his loxal styrian cuisine.
The pork from a Wollschwein or the sheep from the winery Gross, our chef the cuisine Stefan Prenninger takes a lot of care of the products. If you sit on teh terrace or the restaurant, you can feel the styrian spirit.
Wine hotel
The styrian wine street is charming and you get the feeling like a family. The Winery and hotel Maitz is a place to relax for a weekender or a holiday. Charming - comfortable and romantic, we give you all the styria can offer you. Hiking recommendation: Hiking trail Ratsch-Ottenberg.

Cancellation policy:
Your booking / reservation is subject to the General Terms and Conditions to the Austrian Hotel Industry (AGBH 2006).
Should you be unable to come and use your room, we shall try to do our best to rent out the room to other guests. If this is impossible, the following cancellation policy applies:
21 day prior to arrival: free cancellation
7 days prior to arrival: 50% of the full price
Less than 7 days prior to arrival or anticipated departure: 100% of the full price
Please be aware that your cancellation must be made in writing in order to be valid.
To save you unnecessary cancellation costs, we recommend you to take a insurance via Hotelstorno Plus Versicherung at Europäische Reiseversicherungs AG.
Wirtshaus: We would be happy to welcome you for dinner or lunch

Winery: Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 am to 06:00 pm; Sunday and Monday by prior appointment only.
