The Eselsberg, with its alpine adventure trail, is a special natural idyll and a traditionally managed alpine pasture area. Culinary delights tempt you to stop for a bite to eat. The Schattensee lake, the legendary Wölzertal valley, the nature reading park, the Günster waterfall and many other attractions make the hikes an experience. Regional delicacies are served at the Holzwelt partner businesses: Game, fish, herbs, cheese, fresh bread - a full HOLZWELT snack board awaits you. A natural treat for all the senses.

Coming from Judenburg via Unzmarkt to Scheifling. Turn right here towards Murau. After Niederwölz turn left. The parking lot is right next to the IBS company in Teufenbach.
Coming from Murau via Katsch an der Mur and Frojach. Turn right in the village of Teufenbach. The parking lot is right next to the IBS company in Teufenbach.
The Holzwelttour starts in Teufenbach. Turn right and hike through Niederwölz, along the main road to Oberwölz. At the Knappsäge (after Oberwölz), turn right and hike along the Hintere Pöllau into the Eselsbergergraben. We turn around at the Funklshütte and walk back the same way to Niederwölz. Here we turn left and hike via Scheifling and Gotthardsdorf to Neumarkt. Here we keep to the right and walk to Mariahof station. Here we keep left again and walk over the Thajagraben to St. Lambrecht. We turn back at the health center and walk back to Mariahof train station. Here we keep left and walk back to the starting point.
