Concert - VieVox

VieVox, consisting of former soloists from the Vienna Boys' Choir, comprises eight men from over 500 years of singing tradition. The ensemble offers vocal music at the highest level - always with a friendly smile. The eight vocal artists know how to inspire their audience with a palpable joy in music. They will be performing their program "Amor" on 7 June 2024 in the Murau region, in the pavilion of the Benedictine monastery of St. Lambrecht. Tickets are available online at www.jeunesse.at.

VieVox is the Latin name for "Singing from Vienna" (Vox Viennensis). The name was by no means chosen at random, but is an indication of the ensemble's artistic profile: vocal works by great composers of past eras and pieces with an explicit reference to Vienna are usually part of every concert. Versatility is not only the strength of the group of artists, but also the motto that defines its identity in the selection of repertoire. At concerts in Austria and abroad, the range is demonstrated time and again - from motets to madrigals, art and folk songs to well-known opera or pop music in a tailor-made a cappella dress. In addition to rarely heard pieces for male voices, the double quartet also presents something new time and again. Since its foundation in 2010, over 40 works by 16 composers (including Heinz Kratochwil, Herwig Reiter and Wolfram Wagner) have been premiered.
