Sommerstall-Weg in Etmißl

The most popular walking and hiking trail on the Etmißl sunny side.
We start at the signpost by the Dorfwirt bridge. On the asphalt road uphill to the nearby Pension Kogler and through the wide grassland to the Berger homestead, Am Rain. In several easy bends uphill to the farmsteads Am Berg; Schafweide near Oberhof.From house no. 6 on an old alpine path moderately steep uphill to Sommerstalleck, a small clearing; signpost.On a beautiful forest path eastward on a free mountain meadow ridge; in the saddle a large linden tree. Not far from it, on the sunny side, the Sommerstall with its resting benches: splendid deep view over the sunny mountain meadows down to Etmißl. Viewpoint with panorama panel to the Hochschwab massif.
After the tour, the Landgasthof Hubinger (organic country inn with hood restaurant, Tel. 03861/8114, www.hubinger.com ) and the Dorfwirt (Tel. 03861/8125) invite you to stop for a bite to eat.

From the south: From Kapfenberg on the B20From the north: Via Mariazell and the Seeberg on the B20From the east: Via Semmering on the S6 to Kapfenberg and further on the B20
From the Dorfwirt bridge we hike past the Kogler guesthouse to the Berger farm. Via Oberhof we go to Sommerstalleck and to the nearby Sommerstall, from where we enjoy a magnificent view of the Hochschwab massif. Return via Steinerkreuz, Am Rain to Etmißl.
Worth seeing: lookout point at the summer stable with panorama board, summer stable lime tree.
