Alpine Garden Rannach
Stattegg
Experience nature & enjoy regional snacks – Alpine garden with a view.
Just a few kilometers from Graz, on the Rannach, is a special place for nature and pleasure lovers. The Alpine garden Rannach shows its full strength from February to May: While winter is still in full swing elsewhere, the first alpine plants are already in bloom here. Rare species thrive on the distinctive quartz gravel soil, accompanied by a small pond and a wide view over Styria. The elevated location creates a distance from everyday life and turns every visit into a decelerated break.
As a destination in the Graz experience region, the garden combines botanical educational value with true nature experience. Strolls through the grounds convey interesting facts about alpine flora and invite you to pause consciously.
After the tour, the cozy snack station offers regional specialties: Spreadable breads, roast pork, spicy venison sausages, or soups made from beef, chicken, or vegetables reflect Styrian cuisine. Kärntner Kasnudel, fresh leaf salad with pumpkin seed oil, and hearty Brüstl are also on the menu. For special enjoyment moments, organic rosemary chicken, venison, fish, or vegan dishes are available upon pre-order.
